Sunday 1st December marks the beginning of Advent…..
…After a tumultuous year, there is comfort to be found when we pause to read, pray, and reflect over the course of the Advent season in which believers eagerly anticipate the celebration of Christ’s birth.
The first Sunday of Advent gives us the opportunity to center our thoughts on hope. It's a beautiful chance to remember the hope God offers to our lost and dying world, and that He's given us through Jesus.
As we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus’ arrival as a gift to all humanity; let’s stir up in our hearts and homes a sense of anticipation. Over this Advent, we pray that hope would rise up in our spirits in a tangible and life-giving way.

Wellbeing Wednesday has continued!
This week was particularly exciting as Mr Catch from Blackpool Circus School came with a carousel of activities. There was plate spinning, juggling, diablo, hula hooping and, my new found favourite, stilt walking!
I am really proud of how resilient the children were learning new, challenging skills.
At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.
Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.
This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…
What Parents & Educators Need to Know about Snapchat. This free guide brings you up to date with the risks associated with Snapchat, and lets you know how best to safeguard young people who use the app.
We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.
