This week we went over to church for Reconciliation. We had time to reflect on what we would like to talk about with Fr. Frank, focusing on a missed opportunity: a time when we should have done something, but we didn’t. It was such lovely time for the class to go over to church and have some quiet time for prayer and reflection during this period of Lent. Fr Frank also mentioned how proud he was at how respectful the whole class was in church. During this year of Hope it was also a
Here is what else we have been up to….
This week the class have completed some mock SATs papers, in test conditions in the hall. I am SO proud with each and every single member of the class. They came in each morning with such positive attitudes and gave each of those papers their all. I could not ask for any more than that! Once I have gathered all of their scores, I will email parents with these up-to-date scores.
In our Maths lesson our focus has been on angles in a quadrilaterals and angles in polygons.
In English we have been focusing on GPS and particularly on spelling. We have been looking at the ie ei rule…i before e, except after c! We know that one of these spellings could well come up on our GPS test, so we need to know which one to choose!
In Science we contiuned with our topic on Light. Our focus this week was on light reflectors. We did an investigation to see which materials/surfaces reflected the most/least light, thus telling us which were the best reflectors. We had to plan our investigation first and then recorded our results in a table. Next week, we will write up our conclusion.
🌟 AWARD WINNERS! 🌟
The Golden Award went to the whole of the class! They have all shown incredible resilience and hard-work this week with their mock SATs. I am one very proud teacher!

This reflection will take place in the school hall at 9.30am, on Friday 11th April. The refection itself is about 15/20 minutes long. As we will have all of the other year groups in the hall too , we must limit attendance to two adults per family.
